Share the Meaningful Friendship Throughout the World

Hello..

i was asked by my friend,'who's that?' when i checked my email from a friend. 'she's my friend. from korea' i replied. 'how come?' she asked again..

 

so this is how it was. :)

one day i was searching volunteering activity on google, just a random searching. then i found  VANK  (Voluntary Agency Network of Korea). Acivilian international exchange association in Korea. VANK give us many information about Korea, the travel, politics, social, history, culture and many more. we also can share many things about our country here. i was so interested in it, so i open many article in many tabs haha..

then i clicked on one of the sub-web.

i made an account here, then i can meet many people around the world, especially Korea. This friendly-community is based in korea to make korea as a hub in international relation. it's also a 'cyber diplomatic activity', interesting,right?. if you want to know about korea personally, you'd better make an account here..:)

at first, i was confused how to start (hahaha), but then i write on people's guest book, and add them as friend. don't worry about anything, because it's totally a web that offer you to know people better from totally don't know them at all. of course, people on this web also want to make friends with many people around the world, so start your journey!

nah, i can say that if you want to make korean friends, know about korean more, and exchange language, this is the best place to start.

i forget when but i think i made an account around november 2010 or so, i search people to share about our own country. and a couple weeks later i exchange email, start my e-pal activity. it's so much fun!

i ask many things about korea at first, the one that i can't find on internet, and it's feels nice to know an original opinion from person that live in korea itself.

my knowledge about korea improved more and more, even, it become more interesting to learn the complete history of korea, and politic issue (not only Kpop things,haha)

from time to time, as a relationship grow, i also need to explain about my country, indonesia. but, i only know a little about my own country, ironic haha.

i don't just give up then, i improved my knowledge about indonesia, the culture, politics, issue, travel, and many more. so i can explain my country well to them. do you know? many people don't know about our country, where it was, how it was, what is it like, and so on. i'm a little shocked, because i think i know about many countries in the world, even just a little (like the song, issue in that country, or cities that exist in that country, some history, and so on) but....many people dont' know about indonesia. just a very little information..like, indonesia is part of south east asia.mmm..

but, you know...when i start to exchange information with them, talk about our country, my love to indonesia grow slowly (but it's grow!). because, i know my culture better when i start to know other's culture. the way they appreciate my culture, makes me curious more and more about it..haha.. by learning their culture, i have to learn my culture to give a right information to them, and by that, my love to indonesia grow more and more...and i can spread a right information about my country..it's time to give a good impression about our country.

not only that, as relationship between you and your friend improved, it's more exciting. you can share your day, ask them how's their day, share hobbies, give a support to each other. and many more..:)

this is not only greeting or plain activity, this is about share a meaningful friendship throughout the world. to understand each other, to improve your knowledge, to improve yourself....

and what makes me super love this activity is that, we can talk about many things,even a sensitive topic,there's no problem. because we understand that there are differences between us, and that doesn't matter. it's just a matter to learn, not to argue

Share a meaningful friendship throughout the world is really great and beautiful. for your self-improvement, for your country, and for friendship. even if we can't meet this time, we can feel the friendship.we all want a peaceful world, right?
