Lately, in our house is so into manhwa..yesterday arina gave me the link to one of manhwa she just read, and she told me that the story was really good. it was 'Friendly Winter'...and it's still ongoing manhwa, stop at chapter 47, and i still have to wait to finish it!. well, the story is really really touching. i like it so much, but now i want to recommend another manhwa i read after that manhwa.....
why i recommend this manhwa? because somehow i feel connected to it. the story is so simple yet answering some of my problem and questions which had been stuck in my head. huft hahaha..
the title is 'Speak Through Colors' in korean it's 색으로 말하다
the prologue is quite interesting
doing something you enjoy is fun
doing something you enjoy perfectly is hard
making a living through what you enjoy dong?painful
heading towards to the glimmering sunlight
the ones holding on to the black worries
it's a story to give three children,
happiness through the yellow sun rays
passion through the red of strawberry lights
and cooperation through the part-blue lights
there are three different stories, but all of them have the same problem in choosing what they want to do, in doing what they love. which divide it into three stories......
dye with gardenias : a girl who love to make doll
imbued with safflower : a girl who love to do art, then fall in love with various form of art
jump into indigo : a boy who love to taking pictures
most of the story is about their worry about future, is it really fine to doing what they love now? or to do what they 'should' do. the story bring in the natural dyeing method and become a important part of the story. (i wonder if the comic maker is a dyeing lover) in the end of each story they will exhibit in the same exhibition. well you can read complete story of the manhwa

the problem of those three children is a common problem that children face, when they have to face the future, the unknown future. full of worries and really challenging, but they can't avoid it.
right when i read the prologue, i feel that this manhwa will be great. when i read the stories, wow...somehow i feel like that was me, in facing those problems. i reflected so much through one manhwa. it's been years i worry about my future, and what should i do, what things i love, is it the right path? is it the right thing to do? i even had a thought 'it would be better if my parents don't allow me to do what i want and force me to do something just like some parents who force their children to enter medical college or something like that', just because i can't decide what i want to do myself, when i have a really great opportunity and support from my parents who allow me to do anything i want.
to think about it once again.
to reflect more about what i have done.
to decide my future.
no matter what it is, is it doing things i love or doing other things. both will have problems and challenges. wouldn't it be better if i do what i love?
other than the stories and the messages i got, the drawings is also extremely good, the colors is nice, and i really like the style of the drawing. overall, this is the manhwa not only i enjoy reading, but also give me inspirations and many thoughts..more importantly i feel connected to this manhwa. how great :)
